“When you come to me
To long-ago rooms,
Where memories lie.
Offering me, as to a child
Gatherings of days too few.
Baubles of stolen kisses.
Trinkets of borrowed loves.
Trunks of secret words,
-Maya Angelou, When You Come
We’re steeped in the liminal space between the solar and lunar eclipses and today’s cosmic alignment has the capacity to stir our souls.
As Mercury joins Chiron and the South Lunar Node of Destiny in Pisces, our thoughts may drift to our pain and sorrows. The loss and change triggered by the Pisces solar eclipse will be the focus of Mercury’s gaze.
When our wounded area is touched upon, we can sense a tumbling out of memories flowing forth. Ghosts from the past once more appear vividly, even if for a brief moment, and make us aware that healing is a process often occurring layer by layer.
Past the denial, resentment, anger and blame lies our wound. Our wounds are the part of ourselves that’s unflinchingly honest. It’s a part of us that’s exquisitely delicate.
When we acknowledge this vulnerability, we see the eternal within us.
The beauty of Mercury in Pisces is that it can give a voice to our wounds through poetry, music and compassionate contemplation. This is where great art is born, where the embrace of compassion can bring us back to life.
Listen carefully for the song of your soul.
