The final eclipse in Taurus is coming to fruition. The series of eclipses in the Taurus/Scorpio axis of transformation began with the Taurus Lunar Eclipse on November 19, 2021. With this final Taurus Lunar Eclipse, that which has been cultivated is ripening and ready for release, bringing one chapter to a close. In some significant way, our values have been transformed.

As an archetype, Taurus is concerned with the topic of survival, at its core. The fear of poverty and lack can activate the survival instincts for safety and security. This is why Taurus is associated with self-sufficiency and skill development, so that one can obtain what is needed - such a money, possessions, shelter - in order to sustain life. That dogged determination to put one foot in front of the other and to do what is necessary for survival is an essential character trait of Taurus.

How, then is Taurus also associated with the tactile senses, indulgence and luxury? This is Venus' yin sign, and while it can have the reputation of being lazy and procrastinating, when Taurus is committed to something, there's no stopping it's resolve, even if it takes patience and perseverance to achieve. It is the gardener whose commitment ensures a bountiful harvest in time.

On the opposite side of the Taurus spectrum is Scorpio, the sign willing to risk it all - stability, harmony, even life itself - when its motivated by deep desires. Scorpio is driven by forces beyond the practical and reasonable, which is why it's associated with the occult, secrets, taboos and power dynamics.

What activates this Taurus Lunar Eclipse even more is the opposition of Mars-Mercury in Scorpio with Jupiter in Taurus which has the potential to trigger aggressive communication and inflame arguments. Taurus and Scorpio are fixed signs and as such, tend to lock horns when embattled as both can be stubborn in their positions. The North Node is in Aries conjunct Eris the goddess of discord, suggesting that disharmony in the collective is at its peak.

Under Mars-Jupiter we may be eager to take enormous risks or be so driven by vengeance (Mars in Scorpio) or righteousness (Jupiter) that we take things to extremes. However, a positive expression would be when Mars and Mercury in Scorpio are focused on putting energy toward a private passion or secret plot that can be amplified with Jupiter enthusiasm.

Find where your energies can be directed toward creative, uplifting actions which lead to growth and future possibilities. Destructive, scorched-Earth actions  can be especially harmful at this time and need to be managed with consciousness. Use caution and know that patience is a virtue at this time.

Venus in Virgo is the ruler of this Lunar Eclipse - as she was at the recent Solar Eclipse - and while she is considered in fall here, she is best served by humility, service and self-improvement, rather than the shadow side of criticism of others, even if we think it's in their own best interest.

As Venus in Virgo is in an challenging aspect with Chiron in Aries, we're especially sensitive to relationship hurts and healing can be uncomfortable. Work toward progress and repair, even if resolution isn't available in the moment.

The Moon is exalted in Taurus so indulge in healthy nourishment, grounding in nature, tactile pleasures and self-care for the body. Be grateful for moments of peace and satisfaction.
